The past few months have been busy and exciting! I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while, but I have been working hard editing the new website. I hope this place will be a resource for individuals to read, learn, and share.
For today’s post, I want to take a few minutes to discuss my views on personhood. I firmly believe that what we give to the world is what we receive in return. I’m a chess teacher and advocate because of my love for the game and its many benefits. I’m a writer because it allows me to creatively express myself and my ideas. I’m a scholar because I believe we learn through history. My passions fuel my life, and I think that we need to show the world that we exist. We are here. This idea may sound familiar to some as it was what Alcott said to her daughter, Louisa May, “Let the world know you are alive!” I don’t think any quote has summed up my life as perfectly as this does. Our experiences are important. Our stories are important.
You can change the world, darling. You just need to get up and start.
